About Anthony John Thorpe

Football , commenced in 1970 and whilst finished playing 4 years ago , I am currently coaching a under 10 Mini roos side The macquarie United Cubs and the under 15 girls side from Macquarie . I have also worked on city wide study of grassroots sport and recreation , Gold Country Sport-21k for 18 years that included significant studies to the reform process from Soccer taskforce , National Soccer League Review , Crawford Report , National whole of football plan and papers to the NSW football Federation supportive of change. The study has also seen the conceptual development of a Regional Football Learning Centre , an architect designed synthetic pitch bisected with a overhead technology room set up with smart-board , video analysis to teach players , coaches , teachers and administrators 21st century strategies for football development at a grassroots level that has interest of the FFA staff.

Value to the Individual

Football has been my social and personal conscience to myself and influenced the relationships I have with my family and friends having a healthy persuasion to the way my children are being brought up with a spirit of fair play and good humour. The rules of football and willingness to look after all and give back are omnipresent in much to my life as a president of a Charity Commmunity Opportunity Shop , to the lengthy involvement with the schools of my family. Involvement with organisation with cancer relay for life teams , lobbying for the development of a Adventure Playground and books for a new Aquatic Centre show a determination that reeks from the soul. The 4 kids that I have coached who committed suicide over the years are my moral backstop in much of my life and if david Gallop as CEO will attest to my resolve.

Why the funds are needed

The intention is to purchase coaching DVDS and other resources from USA www.worldsoccershop.com The ongoing desire to improve resources for football in the bathurst community to assist my strategic direction . A google search of www.prosportsgroup.com.au or if we can find interest from others interested in innovative learning to proof in concept a couple of aligned ideas . The ball machine side winder or Eurogoal to develop a coaching instructional space for teachers. A rebound wall , heading for glory , the idea and placement of more size 3 , 4 and 5 footballs into the town competing with the placement of cashed up reserves from AFL and NRL . If thermoskin want to help bathurst football , we can through some strategic resources may bring about mums , dads, boys, girls and schools to help. Thermoskin have a look on google at SUPA SKILLS from craig Johnston to see an example of the direction Football in Bathurst can get to if we can find that bit of supportive endeavour from an interested backer . If we saw evidence of some measure of support , it will act as a energiser for motivated drive , talking to local newspaper editor
