Bacchus Marsh Soccer Club currently has over 160 junior players aged from 5 to 18 and 20 Senior Adult players. The club was founded in 2008 and has grown from one 1 to 12 sides this year. We train and play at Mason Lane Reserve in Bacchus Marsh. We have male and female players from all walks of life from the communities in and around the Bacchus Marsh area. Next year hope to have our first Senior Women's side. We are a 100% voluntary club and have no paid staff members .
Value to the Community
We are a local social family club who support local children to come and learn the game of soccer and also be a social outlet for our member. We offer an alcohol and drug free environment and unlike many other sports club do not operate a bar or allow alcohol at our social events. We encourage our player to respect the community we live in and the wider community in general. We believe we discourage anti social behaviour and offer a
Why the funds are needed
The fund will be used to purchase Electric Powered Trailer Mover (see link below) for our lighting tower which allows us to train at night. Our training facility does not have appropriate floodlighting and to get round this we purchased a portable lighting tower which we currently tow onto the field using a members vehicle. The current method is a health and safety risk and also interrupt training if the person towing the tower out is late for any reason. Only certain member are allowed pull it out as it not a simple tow to get the tower out plus in wet conditions you need a ute or 4WD. Finally having a vehicle drive across our pitch can cause damage to the playing surface An Electric Powered Trailer Mover would allow the first coach who arrives to open up to get the tower out of our storage shed and get training underway. The total cost of the unit is close to $3K but we have already raised over $1000 towards the purchase of the unit. This unit would be another step in the right direction for the club. http://www.parkit360.com.au/collections/models-prices/products/p360-hd-10-000lbs-base
