Bethanee has been selected to play for Australia in the upcoming tour of USA in July 2016. She has been selected as a result of the dominating performance at the Catholic schools natoinals last year. The trip is entirely self funded even though recognised by FIFA. Bethanee will be playing in the U18's age group which is a huge acheivement in itself for the 16yr old hunter valley school girl. The trip is 14 days which includes training in the USA and then competing against USA teams in California. This will be a huge life changing experience where she will learn new skills and share her own knowledge with other competitors. Bethanee also currently plays in the local WPL touring side as centre-mid for the Thornton Redbacks Senior Squad. Bethanee is a fantastic player of the round ball game and this trip will only improve her skills. Thankyou
Value to the Individual
Football (soccer) is a fun and energetic way of keeping fit both physically and mentally. The sport offers structure, dicipline and team building experience which assists in many facets of everyday life. We have found the experiences that are on offer can be extremely rewarding and satisfying provided you put in the hard work. This is reflected in bethanee's outlook on her schooling and her social well being. Football/FUTSAL is a great fun way to remain active and stay fit and can also lead to bigger opportunities if the hard work is done and done right
Why the funds are needed
This USA trip costs $6,600 plus some other sundry costs such as passports, basic meals and souvenier money. FUTSAL uniforms and boots are very expensive also
