The Boulder Netball Club has been running for approximately 6 years on and off, I have known the club to be consistent in the Eastern Goldfields Netball Association competition since 2013 with parents and volunteers mainly helping out. Currently, the Boulder Netball Club has 27 members. The Boulder Netball Club is located in the regional City of Kalgoorllie-Boulder which is approximately 600km south-east of Perth. The Boulder Netball Club is known as the Boulder Primary School netball club but as we all know the school's are not able to fund community sporting teams. The Boulder Netball Club has players from the local primary schools which include Boulder, East Kalgoorlie and some private schools in the Boulder area. The Boulder area in itself is in a low-social economic area, and the majority of the players get assistance with fees through the KidSport funding.
Value to the Community
The Boulder Netball Club brings a sense of pride, promotion of active play, respect in the school and local community, bring schools together, has a diverse range of players from different cultures/ backgrounds, and brings a sense of belonging to the players and local community. The people of Boulder always come together to support positive activities and events in this community.
Why the funds are needed
The amount of $1,500 would be sufficient for the Boulder Netball Club as currently we do not have a uniform and are playing in t-shirts and skorts which are being purchased by parents/ carers of the players from K-Mart. We would like to purchase new uniforms which would be a top only with the team name written on it in the form of bibs, and also purchase some new equipment, if possible. New Uniforms $1,200 Bibs $280 Postage $20 I am aware that we have had uniforms purchased for the club previously however, these we only dresses and we have had boys playing for our club. Previous players have taken the dresses and have not returned them back to the club. The club will have a return policy for the new uniforms, if approval is granted, and the uniforms will belong to the Boulder Netball Club.
