About Brisbane Water Cricket Club U/19

Our team consists of a squad of 17 players ranging from 15yo through to 18yo. We are located on the Central coast of NSW and have been a club for 3 years. We are on average the youngest group of players in the competition, which has made the fact that we became runners up this season even more remarkable as the boys were playing against guys older and more experienced than themselves.

Value to the Community

The boys recently returned from a self funded trip to Sri Lanka in which they played against sides from a vastly different culture and background to what they have been used to. During the stay they all donated any gear that they could to benefit the advance of cricket over there. The boys raised funds by doing BBQ's, letter box drops for various companies, fundraising evenings such as movie nights and assorted ventures all off their own will. The benefit this has to our immediate community has been to help companies, given the younger kids in our club positive role models to look up to and a competitive team for them to aspire to be like.

Why the funds are needed

The funds will go toward purchasing of new training equipment which will include: $400 for new leather and plastic balls $400 for assorted field training equipment $200 to go towards some new uniforms
