About Cobey Evans

I have been doing little athletics for 10 years. I started at age 3 in tiny tots when I tagged along with my 2 older sisters and then started competing in under 6 at Longford district little athletics centre in Tasmania and am still competing in under 13. I have competed in State championships in Hobart and launceston where I have been lucky enough to win some medals and get PB's. I have been selected as vice captain of the Tasmanian state under 13 team to go to Adelaide ,April 2016.

Value to the Individual

Athletics influences my life in a positive wAy by getting me outside and keeping fit but also having fun with my mates every weekend. A lot of people sit inside on social media or in front of a tv or computer but by doing athletics it's fun and good for me at the same time. I play football, cricket and little aths so enjoy being part of a team and also competing individually and getting personal best times or distances at aths.

Why the funds are needed

The levy for my trip to Adelaide is $1610, this includes uniform, airfares and accomodation so if I was lucky enough to receive some money it would go towards this. Also my parents funded my state footy trip last year so two state teams in 12 months is fairly expensive, so it would really help mum and dad financially .
