About Coutts Crossing Croquet

Founded at the start of 2015 with 19 members, we are now 41, with a target of 120 in 3 years. All Seniors, we are training and gradually raising our standards to challenge for pennants and championships in the Northern Rivers area. Groups have already had some success, but we plan 2016 to be a breakthrough year. We are ready to raise our team effort to the next level.

Value to the Community

Croquet is the ideal sport for seniors. It keeps people fit physically, but is also a big challenge mentally. Our team members benefit hugely from this stimulus. We work through the aches and pains which most Seniors have. We are the only croquet team in the Clarence Valley and our growth is raising the visibility of the game, and bringing new pride to the village of Coutts Crossing.

Why the funds are needed

Due to our success in recruiting so many seniors to play, we just don't have enough croquet ball and clips (clips are used for scoring). So that everyone can play we need another set of balls and clips. These need to be good quality, because cheap balls tend to disintegrate within months.
