This team has stepped up from junior soccer into the National NPL Youth competition. They are a team of amazing young men who are so very keen to work hard & be the best they can possibly be. They are entered in the Gold Coast Cup tournament in September this year & have worked endlessly to raise funds towards their trip so they can. All this in addition to all of their training & competition games. Some of these boys have played together for 2 years & others have come from elsewhere but the respect these boys have for each other & their coaches is nothing short of inspiring. They NEVER give up & play til the very last second until that whistle blows at the end of each game. Young men that everyone is constantly proud of.
Value to the Community
Since this team has come together this year the club & the community is striving with pride. This team is committed to the community & the club & is willing to help out in amy way possible. They & their parents are constantly helping out around the ground with working bees & clean ups, not to mention providing much needed game day setup & canteen/bbq help. They attend any club functions & go to every game of the first grade teams, wearing their team uniform with pride! These boys have courage & determination well beyond their years & everyone is looking forward to what is to come for them. Win lose or draw, they're winners every week by giving their all & never giving up, showing their pride for their club.
Why the funds are needed
The team would love to be able to purchase a full playing strip (shirts, shorts, socks) that is different to what they wear each week. This new strip they will play in the gold coast cup in September. They would also like to purchase a polo shirt that they could wear to & from the tournament & to any group activities done whilst they're travelling. I'm sure this team would also want to give some money to their club to help out with any costs that they can contribute to.
