With a total pool of $10,000 available plus a gift of Thermoskin’s Plantar FXT Calf Socks, 2016 winners will be decided upon by a panel of 4 judges including Melanie Wright (Australian Olympic Gold Medalist and World Record Holder in Swimming), Sharelle McMahon (former Australian Netballer), Brett Emerton (ex-Socceroo) and Thermoskin CEO Matthew Symington.

Kuraby Knights Junior Cricket Club is one of the oldest in the the region dating back to the 1970's. We currently field 10 teams in u8's to u16's in the Beenleigh / Logan district competition in summer, and have 3 teams in u13's, u15(girls) and u16's in the junior winter warehouse competition. We have a vision to make our club one of the best junior clubs in Greater Brisbane area. We want all our players to be the very best they can be. We believe that having fun is important for today and the having the sense of achievement from personal progression is for life. To achieve the very best outcomes for each individual player at out club, our current focus is on improving the facilities and equipment available for training and lifting the standard of player and club presentation.
Value to the Community
Our club is located in one of the most culturally diverse regions in all Australia. We play an important role in bringing the current and future generations together to learn about each other through the medium of sport. We also support involvement in sport for local schools, community groups, and provide facilities for dog obedience classes, personal trainers, the odd afternoon kite flyer, and other sports.
Why the funds are needed
This funding would be directly applied to the objective of improving the presentation of our players and club. We propose to include a training shirt for all players (approx 100 across all teams) to where to weekly training sessions and to each match during the home and away season. Shirts : 100 Cost per Shirt : $27.50 Total Cost : $2,750 Theroskin grant : (major sponsor front and back) $1500 2 x Sleeve Sponsors : $1000 Club / Player: $250 / remainder
