Macarthur Flames is a small netball club affiliated with the Campbelltown District Netball Association. Founded in 2015, we are currently in our second year of competition and looking forward to another successful and fulfilling year of netball. We currently have 46 registered members with three teams competing in senior competition, one at graduate level and one at junior level along with our dedicated committee members.
Value to the Community
Macarthur Flames was specifically started so we could offer our netball community a club designed by the members, for the members, ensuring that our members are the ones that get to build the club in a way to benefit them, and not just be left in the dark by a committee pulling all the strings and making all the decisions. Our mission is to provide the community with a club that caters for any and all age groups and abilities, that exercises community and sportsmanlike spirit at all times, but most importantly allows all members to play an active role in our club.
Why the funds are needed
We are dedicated to providing our members with the best in quality and safety each year and so keeping our equipment up to date is a number one priority. As we are only in our second year we are yet to gain any real ground in financial security and updating our equipment can be a costly event each year. At this stage we would be looking to set aside $500.00 to aid in this. We also believe it is imperative that each member we register within our club regardless of personal circumstances has equal opportunity and access to club uniforms/attire. We would like to set aside the other $500.00 to assist in purchasing club uniforms/attire (such as club jackets/shirts) for ALL our members so as to not have any of our members excluded or feeling left out due to their personal circumstances. It is very important to us to show we are a united club by being able to extend equality and community spirit towards ALL our members.
