Para-Badminton is for disabled competitors, it is one of the largest disabled sports in the world but has a very small contingency in Australia (growing) Para-Badminton is very recently been accepted into the Para-Olympics. this a great opportunity for the group of disabled badminton players to show the world there high level of skill
Value to the Individual
Badminton has been a great sport for me in recent years, after losing my leg at the age of 20 there was very few sports that I did compete in before my accident that I can now It has given me a great opportunity to represent my community (Regional NSW) state and Country and with tis funding I hope to firstly compete in the international tournament and secondly get involved with the promotion and coaching of the sport for the younger generation of badminton and para-badminton players
