I am the coach of the Palm Beach Touch Football Representative under 16 girls team, conspiring of several ambitious and talented touch football players, but all individual players form a competitive and fun team. The girls will be competing in the Tri Series competition traveling throughout SE QLD competing for Sharks selection and will compete further in the QLD State Cup held in Hervey Bay. I started coaching representative touch football approx. 5 years ago at both a club level and regional/elite level. Win, lose or draw the development of an individual and the team is paramount in my book.
Value to the Individual
Transitioning from a player to a coach has provided me life lessons in tolerance, patience, team work and the importance of developing individuals and teams to reach their potential. My life revolves around touch football with my wife and two daughters competing at a regional and state representative level.
Why the funds are needed
Funds received through this programs would support the purchase of fitness and drill equipment including touch football balls, agility equipment, representative uniforms and further coaching clinics. The development of our current coaching staff is paramount to ensure that current and future players of Palm Beach Junior Touch are provided with the most up to date Touch strategies and drills. Improved on and off the field training (video review) will lead to heightened player development.
