The teams began in the league competition in 2014 consists of 3 age groups. Currently we have 34 gorls across the South Burnett who travel from all different locations in order to help promote girls in Rugby League. Ages of the girls range from 13 to 18. As there is no girls competition in the South Burnett we travel 3 hours each way on a Friday night for the girls to get game time.
Value to the Community
To the local community it brings a great deal of importance as it gives the girls an out as well increases their understanding of the importance of maintaining their well being as well as being a member of a team which consists of all different backgrounds including indigenous and pacific islanders. Working together and blending like a family is also important.
Why the funds are needed
We would love to have the girls decked out in the same uniform at every game. Most girls that attend training twice a week and then attend a game away have bits and pieces of uniforms..If we could purchase club shirts for all the girls that join up it we not only unite the girls but would also make the girls look good.
