About Robert Barry Sibley
Polocrosse is called 'King of the one horse sports' it is a cross between lacrosse and netball with regards to the field and it is played on horseback. I have been playing for about 25 years , I have represented Australia 4 times and at national level every year since I was 16. I started my career on the farm in Young, NSW and I now live with my wife and 3 children in KOJONUP, WA. We are all involved in Polocrosse. With my children now starting to ride aswell. We have up to 5 horses in work at any one time and have 20 horses all up
Value to the Individual
Polox makes me and it also makes my family happy because we enjoy the sport the people and everything that goes with it Polocrosse is not jus a sport to me it influence s my every day values. We camp away most weekends in the polox season with my family and friends all playing and enjoying the sport we love. We have made happy memories that will last us a life time.
Why the funds are needed
I need this funding as running a family and a sport on 1 income makes things extremely difficult, we don't go to as many events as we would like due to money restrictions, receiving this grant would mean more money could go towards actually getting to the events I would use this money for some much needed winter uniform for my main athlete!! My horse! A winter rug for new equipment for my horse and some new riding wear for myself would really go along way. My polox racquet and helmet is also rather old and I am looking to upgrade Memberships for myself are $400 Riding jeans for polox are $100 Horse rug $200 Team shirts $200 New racquet $200 New helmet $200 Horse safetly equipment $300 (protective gear) bellboots, bandages etc
