We have 3 teams, 2 competing and 1 non competing. This equates to a total of about 30 girls. We train from two community locations in Baldivis & Golden Bay and began in 2009.
Value to the Community
Our sport is focused on bringing girls together to participate as a team, improve self confidence and create lasting friendships. It combines the aspect of sports and performing arts.
Why the funds are needed
Our team members develop an appreciation for music, acting, dancing, flexibility, strength and performance skills. And so because this sport covers a wide range of areas the costumes required for each competition each year is unique along with the required equipment. Each costume is $60 and each girl requires 6, multiply by 30 and this is how our money is spent. We normally borrow from other clubs and it would be nice if we could get the girls a new set this year.
