About Roleystone Gymnastics Club Inc.

The Roleystone Gymnastics Club is a not for profit organisation that has been running for 29 years. Our club has been host to generations of locals with many of our original members starting off as eager kids, progressing to paid coaching and now their children are attending and coaching at junior levels themselves. We offer National Level boys and girls classes, Tumbling, Trampolining, TeamGym, KindyGym and GymFun. Today, we have around 200 gymnasts ranging in age from 18 months to 18 years training every week and we have a number of eager kids on waiting lists for many of our classes. Some of our members have learning and physical disabilities. Our gymnasts come from all over the Roleystone, Karragullen, Armadale and Kelmscott areas with some travelling from Kalamunda, Lesmurdie and beyond. Gymnastics is not a seasonal sport. We operate 11 months a year, 6 days a week, across 32 classes.

Value to the Community

Our club employs 20 young local coaches supported by a team of almost 30 regular volunteers. Our mission: Continue to develop and support our athletes and staff to be able to deliver the best of themselves to the club and our local community. Offer a premium service to our members Foster a sense of belonging for all members of the club and their families Create an environment where our gymnasts and coaches can really enjoy their sport.

Why the funds are needed

We currently train our gymnasts in a big shed in Karragullen on equipment which has been in use for over 20 years. We desperately need to replace some of that equipment so that we can continue to provide a safe and fun gymnastic experience for all our members and potentially offer more classes and allow the space to be used by other community groups. Our current focus is an Air tumble training mat worth around $4,500. We have put in a solid effort to fundraise toward this goal and we would appreciate some help to get over the line as soon as we can. Our gymnasts deserve the best and the opportunity to train at the same level as private clubs.
