This team of 10 plus 3 coaching staff is a state netball team for people with an intellectual or physical disability. This year the team will compete in Sydney over two days for the Marie Little shield. The SA Rubies receive no funding from our national body it is all fundraising that helps this team.
Value to the Community
Our team provides a opening to all people with a disability to compete for their state. The team provides an environment of inclusiveness.
Why the funds are needed
The funding is needed to help these players pay for the cost of uniforms, flights etc. we can also use some of the money to pay for the hire of an indoor court for the players to train on, last year we finished runner up. By making the cost less we will encourage more players to trial which will strengthen the team and hopefully bring home the Gold!
