With a total pool of $10,000 available plus a gift of Thermoskin’s Plantar FXT Calf Socks, 2016 winners will be decided upon by a panel of 4 judges including Melanie Wright (Australian Olympic Gold Medalist and World Record Holder in Swimming), Sharelle McMahon (former Australian Netballer), Brett Emerton (ex-Socceroo) and Thermoskin CEO Matthew Symington.

Sale City Rollers was established about 4 years ago we have 24 members and still growing we are only a small club we are located in sale and we provided a learn to skate bootcamp which we call them "Rookies" and the bootcamp goes for 8 weeks which you will be taught the basics of skating and the basic of derby after the have completed the bootcamp they have the option to continue on with derby training. We supply them with gear which could do with a bit of a updated. We also have a couple of bouting skates which travel as far as Midura, Bendigo and ballarat we also do fundraising to support there travel cost. We start of as a team and we play as a team but we grow into a family.
Value to the Community
Sale City Rollers bring to the community a diverse multi cultural sport it doesn't matter how old, young,body shape, gender , race or fitness level you are we accept anyone an everyone. Everyone is treated the same as well as bringing the game we also stores and fundraising competitions we get involved in community so if they decided if skating/derby wasn't there thing there are many aspect they can get involved with in the club so they can be involved...
Why the funds are needed
We would like to get some new safety equipment knee pads,elbow pads, an ddo a good overhaul on some of the older skates.. Also our floor scrubber need urgent attention.
