With a total pool of $10,000 available plus a gift of Thermoskin’s Plantar FXT Calf Socks, 2016 winners will be decided upon by a panel of 4 judges including Melanie Wright (Australian Olympic Gold Medalist and World Record Holder in Swimming), Sharelle McMahon (former Australian Netballer), Brett Emerton (ex-Socceroo) and Thermoskin CEO Matthew Symington.
Shortlisted entries will be based on quality of application, why the funds are needed, value to the community/individual, and number of votes received by the public, so start voting now and make your contribution!

Who is Sam Weir Sam stumbled across running 3 years ago after picking up a pair of running shoes and running 50km straight during his first ever run! the rest is history; He has travelled the world competing and raising money for the organisations that need it most, this has seen Sam run Mountaing in New Zealand, Run through the wild of Africa, Climb the Worlds Tallest free standing Mountain, run Australia's Toughest foot race multiple times (Newcastle to Sydney) , Pioneered in crossing Papua New Guinea on Foot, Run Australia's Longest Foot race multiple times (240km ) Set 5 Aust, age group records, Won a 450km single stage race in 81hrs 41 minutes (race record) just to name a few career highlights. Sam has been accepted to compete in the World toughest foot race this July, (217km across Death Valley) and currently has no support to get there.
Value to the Individual
Sam isnt your typical runner he has reached a level of discipline and determination that even the best ultra runners envy, he has many attributes that set him apart and make him an overall asset for any company. Sam sets time aside to visit school and Businesses to share his experiences in life and to motivate and support others.
Why the funds are needed
Expendature for the 1,500 will go towards offsetting the Entry fee that was paid for Badwater 135, Worlds toughest race.
