Sebastopol Fire Brigade Running Team consists of 15 members at present that we hope to expand to more this year while finding more interest from within the community. We have only resurrected the running team in the past few years after a 20 year break but before that it had been competing for around 100 years. We are seen as a suburb of Ballarat in Central Victoria
Value to the Community
As well as being a sporting team most of us are active fire fighters for Sebastopol so as well as this is a sport it also refines our skills and fitness for active duty. In the past few years we have also found that the running team has brought an influx of community members to our brigade both in the competitive sport and fire fighting front. We also believe this helps us engage more with the community helping spread the message of healthy living.
