South Australian Synchronised Ice Skating Club was formed in February 2016. Currently we have 4 teams consisting of 8-16 girls. Recently we have been struggling with the closure of the only large Ice surface at our Rink in Adelaide. With this is mind we now need to look at training facilities interstate and the cost of how we can accommodate these teams to train many hours a week on ice and then there is off ice sessions as well where we teach the girls stretching techniques and general fitness. Our teams have achieved so much over the years and it will be a shame to lose the friendship and support we have for one another should the sport fold due to our ice surface situation. The team c The older teams have been competing in State, National and World events and have done quite well. The teams are all dedicatated
Value to the Community
Life Skills Discipline Skaters on the team do brilliant a school Honesty Integrity Bring success Honour Help the Local Community to get active Spread the word how Thermoskin has many brilliant products. The team provides a unique environment for the team members to build on ice skating skills and therefore allows opportunities to teach others younger and all in a safe friendly environment.
Why the funds are needed
The money will be used for ice time training for the skaters as they will need a big block of ice time around 5 hours to get their elements done on the large ice surface leading up to major Australian Competitions. 1 hour ice time is approximalety $320.00 per hour 5 hours x $320.00 per hour = $1600.00
