About South Burnett Karate Association Inc.

We are located in the South Burnett about 3 hours West of Brisbane. Our team comprises of children right through to adults in mixed martial arts. Our team has been together for four years now and has already produced 2 World Champions. Currently we have around 150 members but only about 20 will contest a National title this year. Some of our kids have never been outside of Queensland let alone been on an aeroplane before. The experience we give our members is life changing. Our Nationals this year will be held in Sydney in October. We would like to take as many members as we can to this event. Funding will assist us to see this happen.

Value to the Community

Our team holds many local community events including our biggest being our local tournament. Because we are country this event brings people from all over Queensland which helps the local community by bringing tourists to our region. Our team helps locals build self confidence, self respect and many other skills though our community programs we offer for free such as Sporting Schools, women's self defence classes and much more. But most of all what our team brings to the community is family. Recently with floods and droughts to our region families have done it hard. We have stood by these families often giving children of these families free training during their times of hardship.

Why the funds are needed

We need a team uniform. I believe that Thermoskin would be able to make us an awesome team uniform making us look and feel like champions. Nothing further.
