We are a small horse riding club that started in 2013. We are only a small club with 20 financial members and we wish to bring further attention to the fledgling equestrian sport of Working Equitation. We are a inclusive club that has members with varying abilities and disabilities and promote both grass roots and higher level competition.
Value to the Community
We bring a total contrast to the local competition for equestrian events. We have four phases of competition from cattle work to dressage and speed trials. This really opens up the level of competition and the training required. We also start with lead line competitions so that riders of disability and total beginners are able to be included in our competition days and monthly training days.
Why the funds are needed
We wish to get some new equipment. All of our equipment has been made by members from personal donations and if we wish to have a professional image then we need to have professional equipment. We need to purchase new garrocha poles for our obstacle phases, new equestrian bridges, ramps and gates. We are only after enough to cover the materials for this as our members are happy to have a working bee and manufacture these ourselves.
