About Sutherland Shire Netball 12 Years Rep team

Our Team is the Sutherland Shire Netball Association (SSNA) 12yrs Representative team for 2016. Representative Netball begins at the age of 12 so this is our first year. We have ten players with two Coaches and one Manager. Each round in the SSNA Club Competition each player plays for their own Club team in the 12yr competition and again as the 12yr Representative team in the 14A competition. Our team will also play three or more Sunday Representative Carnivals to prepare for the State Age Championships. Each player has a “Buddy” from the 15yr Representative team which is so welcoming and helpful for our first year.

Value to the Community

What value does your team bring to the local community? Our team brings unity within our local community. We at Sutherland bring friendship and togetherness giving the local citizens, parents, adults and children a fun and competitive place to both exercise, improve skills, form life long friendships and bonds. We have a positive environment and we take pride in being a great asset to both grass roots netball and our local businesses and community.

Why the funds are needed

First year of Representative Netball each player has the cost of complete uniform items (tracksuit, playing dress, training shirt & shorts, socks, backpack etc.). For the State Age Championship (a 3-day competition) just some of the expenditure is the cost of food, accommodation, bus transport, Physiotherapist and medical supplies.
