We are a club of 9 seniors teams as well as 12 junior sides, approx 250 members located on the NSW central coast and have been established since 1912. Our club is constantly looking to improve and minimise costs to our members by seeking grants and support from sponsors and grants. We have recently been asked to foot the bill for $15000+ to repair the nets at our training ground, this is a council assett and it's very difficult for us to find this project so we are trying to obtain some funds from various sources as this is used by both senior and juniors teams in a regular basis and is at the home ground of our first and second grade side. Our club holds strong traditions of mateship and always aim to play within the spirit of the game.
Value to the Community
Our team is well known in the local community and provides opportunity for people aged 5 to 70+ to enjoy the recreation and competiveness that cricket bring and a healthy lifestyle. We try to as often as possible have our senior played engage and educate younger members of the club and provide a healthy friendly enjoyable environment for all different types and aim to be very family orientated so everyone can feel involved. Our club has some tremendous volunteers that are dedicated in there efforts and time that ensure our club can be successful. We cater for all skill levels and lifestyle and always try to accomodate all players to help them fit in and also try to put back into the community also by helping host trivia nights and have raised money for numerous charities over the years. We support local businesses who help us with donations also.
Why the funds are needed
The funds are needed aswell as our affiliation ground fees and general year to year costs like balls and equipment. We are now faced with the situation of repairing our nets on a council owned facility we may have to do it in stages to provide a safe training facility for our members and the public. We are also the only club in our competition who has to pay 2 curators to prepare our wickets which is approx $4000 a season in total. Any funding would help us to provide a safe training environment for our members but the main priority at this stage is getting the nets repaired and we may need to look at ways to cut costs to allow us to fund this project without too much of a burden to our members hopefully.
The entrance cricket club has a website, Twitter account, and Facebook page and we would be happy to promote your business though those platforms.
